    TRAINING PROGRAM

The current training programme has been developed to conform to and is based upon Australian Best Practice; Public Sector requirements and local environments.

All training is completely assessable by qualified workplace assessors and is in fact a pre-requisite for active duty within the group.

All active members of the group submit themselves annually to re-assesment of competencies based on the above programmes.

    RECRUITMENT

At the conclusion of each fire season, the group executive consider whether there is a need to review current membership and call for "expressions of interest" from brigade members to become part of the Air Reconnaissance Unit.

If new members are necessary then an invitation will be extended to volunteers within the Bush Fire Brigade organisation to forward such an "expression". Details are forwarded to all CBFCO for advice to their brigades if vacancies exist.
